After 20 years, Fairwinds Antiques is closed.

We appreciate your support over the years and hope you continue to enjoy your carefully and lovingly restored items. I am sad to report that Jon has died, and as a result operations have ceased. He was the mechanical genius behind all the beautiful restoration work. We, his family, appreciate your patronage over these many years, and treasure the friendships made along the way with his many regular customers. All works in progress from the shop have been safely returned to their owners.

Fairwinds Antiques can perform many custom services to repair or restore your singing birds. I specialize in those made by  manufacturers such as Griesbaum, Bontem, Eschle, and Reuge. 

Antique mechanisms often require repair or replacement of specialized parts which are no longer available. As a graduate mechanical engineer with 25 years experience in industry, I can custom-manufacture intricate parts such as replacement gears or linkages to restore your item to its original function.

Fairwinds Antiques has been in operation for over 20 years, and I have been a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors for 15 years.

Along with my engineering work, I am also a published professional artist. I combine artistry with mechanical engineering to restore your antique to its original glory and function.

I have done work for museums, corporations and individuals.
